Hi, I’m Ally!

I know firsthand how exhausting it can feel to live in a world filled with diet rules, “good” and “bad” foods, and constant pressure to disconnect from your body’s needs. In my own journey, I found freedom and peace through Intuitive Eating; learning to trust my body rather than fight against it. Over time, I also discovered how deeply our gut health and relationship with food are connected. I help clients tune in to digestion, nourishment, and body trust without restriction or guilt.

meet your virtual eating disorder dietitian

Without my own experience in the food battlefield, I wouldn’t have become an eating disorder dietitian.

I have experience working at nearly every level of care, from outpatient private practice to clinical settings, and saw firsthand the overlap between eating disorders and gastrointestinal disorders. I have been able to utilize my own experience with IBS and GI disorders to work effectively with clients and similar diagnoses. I bring those insights into my work, blending them with my clients’ own lived experiences to help foster a sustainable relationship with food.

More than my credentials, what matters most is this

  • I believe in an “all foods fit” approach where satisfaction is just as important as nutrition.

  • This is your body, your life, and your story. I’m here to walk alongside you, offering support and guidance as you shape it in a way that feels right for you.

  • I intentionally ground all of my work in Health at Every Size® principles and a weight-inclusive lens, so every client feels seen, respected, and cared for.

Dietitian vs. Nutritionist

I use the terms “dietitian” and “nutritionist” interchangeably (dietitians are allowed to use both). But if you’re looking for guidance around eating disorder recovery or finding peace with food, an eating disorder dietitian has the training and expertise you’ll want on your side.

    • At least 5 years of higher education, including a Master’s degree and significant supervised training.

    • Required to complete ongoing education and stay current with research to maintain credentials.

    • Can provide superbills that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

    • Trained and licensed to work in healthcare settings, offering a broad range of experience that brings both expertise and creativity to client care.

    • Less formal education required, often limiting scope in addressing nutrition’s full impact on health.

    • Cannot provide 1:1 counseling in clinical or treatment settings.

    • Generally not eligible for insurance reimbursement.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, validated, and more confident in your choices with a little more space for curiosity and compassion in your relationship with food.

1. Below my Zoom camera, I’m wearing: comfy pants, a blanket and my slippers

2. Favorite place I've traveled to: Machu Picchu. I hiked it, cried a little (from beauty and altitude), and it was every bit as magical as I imagined.

3. Coffee order: iced latte with whole milk, please!

4. If I could only keep one condiment forever: I feel like mayo is the only answer, it's too versatile.

5. Favorite place to recharge: the clay studio - where I can turn off my brain for a bit and get lost in the process of creating something.

6. A random skill I have: building IKEA furniture without crying
